The famous blogger, designer, and fashion photographer Filep Motwary is a multifaceted person with many talents. He has collaborated with such big names as Yohji Yamamoto, Helmut Lang, and many more.
He curated the current Haute à Porter exhibition at Belgium’s Fashion Museum Hasselt, uniting his long-time passions for art and fashion.
This magnificent downtown setting perfectly showcases more than a hundred pieces from prestigious luxury fashion houses, including two Haute Couture Christian Lacroix gowns.
Along with garments from renowned couture designers, the exhibition features shots from famous photographers such as Michael Thompson, Sheila Metzner, and Fabien Baron. Its theme, Haute à Porter, traces the links connecting haute couture and luxury ready-to-wear fashion and how they’ve influenced each other over the years.
A photo catalogue by Filep Motwary captures this interaction and is available at the end of the exhibition. Its cover features an iconic Haute Couture Christian Lacroix wedding dress from the Autumn-Winter 2002 collection, modelled by Ola Rudnicka.
Haute à Porter exhibition until September 11, 2016 Fashion Museum Hasselt. Gasthuisstraat 11, 3500 Hassel, Belgium.
