Pêle-mêle
"Pêle-Mêle" is the title of the very first book to retrace the young life of Christian Lacroix, as well as his first works.
at the time of the creation of his Maison de Couture, already evoked, at the time of its publication in 1992, all of the
themes that would be developed to create the Lacroix universe we know today.
If I borrowed this pretty name to adorn our Christian Lacroix Maison 2024 collection, it's because it is
evocative of this season's muse, the city where Christian spent his youth, Arles, of course. City
If Arles didn't exist, neither would Maison Lacroix.
That's why we've created this collection as a tribute to this stronghold in the south of France.
so dear to us. Rough and elegant, proud and jovial, full of contrasts, it is steeped in history, shadow and light."

Trinquetaille
Let's start with "Trinquetaille", the multicultural district where Christian Lacroix spent his childhood. To evoke it, we imagined a patchwork of boutis quilted with a multitude of Provencal suns. It's printed on cotton velvet, as well as on terracotta-tinted wallpaper.
Cotillons
"Cotillons" recalls the neighborhood's festivities, where young acrobats in harlequin outfits could be seen, the same ones that inspired Picasso and photographer Lucien Clergue. This cheerful print unfurls on a rustic cotton canvas.
Avant le Mistral
Let's leave Arles for a moment to discover "Avant le Mistral", a grand panorama planted in the heart of the Arlatan countryside, showing a stormy horizon where a multitude of centuries-old almond trees are in bloom.
En allant aux Baux
"En allant aux Baux" is an evocation of a 17th-century map of the region. It has been unfurled and entirely embroidered on a large linen panel. It is also available on a natural canvas mounted on wallpaper.
Reflets sur le Rhône
All streams eventually flow into the river that runs through the city, and it's with "Reflet sur le Rhône" that the visit continues. This watercolor drawing is displayed on linen canvas, as well as on a natural canvas mounted on wallpaper.
Iris des Marais
In the marshes on the banks of the Rhône, we often find beautiful "Iris des Marais". Here they are fixed, along with their polychromy, on black cotton sateen and white rustic cotton canvas.
Soleils
The city of Arles cannot be evoked without thinking of Vincent Van Gogh and his sumptuous bouquets of sunflowers painted to brighten up the bedroom of his friend Paul Gauguin, who came to visit him. With "Soleils", the other name for these mythical flowers, Christian Lacroix Maison celebrates this friendship. It's a lustrous jacquard in shimmering colors, whose reverse side is as beautiful as the front.
